The Dandie Dinmont, a character in Sir Walter Scott's novel, Guy Mannering; a Scottish breed of dog which is listed as a Vulnerable Native Breed, orginally used to hunt Badgers and Otters. As a domestic dog they are full of character, which sometimes verges on arrogance. If you want them to come in they will sit at the bottom of the garden and wait, and then race indoors.
Like all good things you may have to wait as there are only fifty breeding pairs in the UK.
This breed has a long body and is low to the ground, by filling the frame, a close up view of the subject was achieved, using a wide angle lense with an aperture of f2.8, ensuring a fast shutter speed, and no motion blur.
